MEGCRETe™ CI Sheathing

Sheathing and continuous insulation, one lift.

MEGCRETe CI panel cut away in steps to reveal the four core options: EPS, GPS, mineral wool, and poly iso
Why MEGCRETe™ CI

The code is moving outward, literally. Exterior continuous insulation is already required in a growing number of jurisdictions, and as net-zero targets firm up, the rest will follow. When that shift lands, builders will be under pressure to hit a higher envelope standard fast. MEGCRETe™ CI lets them do it without changing how they build: continuous exterior insulation and non-combustible sheathing, laminated into one panel that installs like the sheathing crews already use.

Warmer envelope

A continuous layer of exterior insulation breaks the thermal bridge at every stud and plate, where standard walls quietly leak heat.

Fewer steps on site

Sheathing and insulation go on in one pass instead of two. Fewer trades, fewer trips around the building, less waste.

Same process

Installs like regular sheathing. No special tools, no new trade, no retraining. Framers or prefab crews apply it at the framing stage.

Kill the thermal bridge.

Every stud and plate in a standard wall is a break in the insulation, a two-way path for heat: out through the steel all heating season, in all cooling season, dragging condensation risk with it. Rather than chasing those breaks with advanced framing or insulated strips, MEGCRETe™ CI wraps the structure in one unbroken layer.

Plan-view comparison: MEGCRETe directly on steel studs shows heat escaping through every stud; MEGCRETe CI with continuous EPS blocks the thermal bridge

Build to tomorrow's code without changing today's process.

You shouldn't have to reinvent the wall to meet a tougher number. Because the insulation is laminated to the sheathing, both layers land in a single step. Fewer trades scheduled, fewer passes on the scaffold, one simpler materials list.

Non-combustible, all the way out.

The structural facer is mineral MgO: non-combustible per ASTM E136, Class A with zero flame and zero smoke. You get continuous insulation without adding a combustible layer to the exterior, and without the fire-detailing headaches foam CI brings.

Options & variety

Pick a core. Pick a thickness.

MEGCRETe™ FACE
EPS CORE

EPS core

Expanded polystyrene, the economical workhorse. Moisture-tolerant, ≈ R-4 per inch.

MEGCRETe™ FACE
GPS CORE

GPS core

Graphite-enhanced EPS, more R in the same thickness, ≈ R-4.7 per inch.

MEGCRETe™ FACE
MINERAL WOOL CORE

Mineral wool core

Stone-fiber board, a non-combustible core end to end, moisture-tolerant, ≈ R-4.2 per inch.

MEGCRETe™ FACE
POLY ISO CORE

Poly ISO core

Polyisocyanurate, the highest R per inch where wall depth is tight, ≈ R-6 per inch.

Core thicknesses 1/2″1″2″3″4″up to 12″ Mix core type and thickness to hit the energy-code target

Two-sided build-ups

MEGCRETe™ on both faces. Add a backer panel such as 1/4″ MEGCRETe™ to the second side for symmetric or interior-exposed assemblies.

Roofs & rooftop decks

Customized assemblies laminated to suit roof and rooftop-deck applications.

Fire-rated assemblies

Custom build-ups configured for fire-rated wall assemblies where ratings are required.

Performance

Configurable to your R-value target.

MEGCRETe™ CI is built to the project. Pick the insulation type and thickness to hit your target R-value; the non-combustible MgO facer stays constant across every build-up.
